Washington, D.C. — As part of an ongoing strategy to transform the Alliance for Health Policy to meet the needs of policymakers, supporters, and the broader policy community in our 30th anniversary year, the Alliance announced today a series of new hires. These additions will strengthen the capacity of the organization in programming, policy and content development, and audience engagement.

“As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Alliance as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, we are proud to be building our team as we carry out our vision of bringing together evidence, experiences, and diverse perspectives to better inform and enhance the health policy discourse in America,” said Sarah Dash, president and CEO of the Alliance for Health Policy. “I am proud that our new colleagues, together with our outstanding current team members, bring a diverse set of professional backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives to our work.”

Christopher Holt, seasoned strategic thinker and health policy expert, joins the Alliance for Health Policy as vice president of policy. In this role, Mr. Holt will serve as a bridge between the Alliance and our stakeholders, sourcing insights on areas of greatest educational need and ensuring solution-focused convenings provide meaningful, timely, and in-depth content for our policy audience.

“Throughout my career the Alliance’s briefings and convenings have been an invaluable resource, so I am excited to join the team as we work to expand the scope and impact of our offerings,” said Christopher Holt. “My time serving on Capitol Hill led me to a strong belief that fact-based, respectful dialogue is crucial to an effective and vibrant policy process. The Alliance serves an important role in facilitating this type of dialogue and ensuring policymakers have access to trustworthy educational materials to support their important deliberations on behalf of the American public.”

Mr. Holt joins the Alliance from the American Action Forum (AAF) where he most recently served as director of health care policy. Before joining AAF, he spent time on Capitol Hill, serving in roles such as health policy advisor, and he began his congressional career with the Senate Special Committee on Aging. He holds a master’s degree in presidential and congressional studies from the Catholic University of America.

In addition to Mr. Holt, the Alliance announces 5 additional hires and a promotion:
