The Alliance for Health Policy Announces 2025 Class of Bipartisan Learning Communities Congressional Fellows
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The Alliance for Health Policy Announces 2025 Class of Bipartisan Learning Communities Congressional Fellows
โ The first fellow class enters into a 10-month career development program that will prepare them for health policy leadership
Washington, D.C. โ The Alliance for Health Policy is proud to announce the selection of the inaugural class of fellows for the Bipartisan Learning Communities (BLC) 2025 Congressional Fellowship, a groundbreaking nonpartisan educational initiative designed to equip early-career congressional staff with the expertise, knowledge and skills to navigate complex health policy challenges.
The 10-month fellowship provides a structured, skill-building curriculum developed in response to direct input from senior congressional staff and policy experts. Through tailored programming, fellows will gain a deeper understanding of complex health policy topics while building relationships with each other and health policy experts, networking across House and Senate, and party and ideological differences, to learn with and from each other.
โThis fellowship is a first for the Alliance. For generations, Hill staffers have turned to us for trusted education on a topic-by-topic basis. Now, for the first time in our 30-plus year history, we are hosting a fellowship initiative. We built this cohort-based, ongoing and tailored learning experience to meet the needs of todayโs rising health policy leaders,โ said Claire Sheahan, M.Sc., President and CEO of the Alliance. โWe applaud their offices for supporting the next generation of health leaders.โ
A recent LinkedIn article co-authored by Alliance board members Charlotte Ivancic and Susan Turney, M.D. highlights the urgent need for this initiative to address critical and often overlooked gaps in the health policy landscape.
The BLC Fellowship is made possible by generous support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. For more information about the BLC Fellowship and the 2025 fellow class, visit our website here.
